Kaspersky Labs signs deal with Irish Value-add Distributor.

Kaspersky Labs announced today that it has signed an agreement with Chameleon Technology that will see Kaspersky's products distributed throughout Northern Ireland and EIRE. This latest signing strengthens Kaspersky Labs' position within Europe and recognises Chameleon for the high level of support it provides to its partners.

Multi-Tech is adding two new models, which complement both the high and low end user.
For the high-end enterprise, the new Model RF760VPN will be able to provide network access and VPN functionality to users in the 100 to 500 range. On the SOHO side, the new Model RF560VPN can accommodate up to 25 users. Both new models feature better firewall throughput and encryption throughput due to an enhanced processor design.

The RF560VPN is targeted to the SOHO market and adds stateful packet inspection and PPTP VPN to the low end Multi-Tech VPN Gateway product line. The RF560VPN’s faster processor makes it capable of handling more concurrent VPN users, better firewall throughput and more concurrent Internet users. This set of capabilities makes the RF560VPN a more attractive product for business users.

The RF760VPN is more powerful version of the Multi-Tech RF660VPN utilizing an Intel P4 GHz processor and 10/100/1000 Gigabyte Ethernet ports. The RF760VPN is designed for larger enterprises requiring concurrent Internet access for above 100 users up to approximately 500. These numbers are guidelines only for achieving optimum performance, since Multi-Tech does not license its products for a specific number of users.

Achieving Checkmark certification attests that a product meets stringent quality standards. Certification confirms that a product passed all the required tests and demonstrated 100% effectiveness in counteracting malicious programs.

The West Coast Labs research center tests anti-virus programs according to three levels of certification - Level 1 (100% detection of all the viruses in the 'Wildlist'), Level 2 (100% effectiveness in curing the viruses contained in the 'wildlist') and Trojan Checkmark (100% detection of all trojan programs in the vast West Coast Labs collection).

Multi-Tech adds two new models to the RouteFinder Internet Security Appliance product line.
The RF600VPN is targeted at the small to medium-sized business looking to connect 50 or fewer VPN tunnels. in its December edition tested the market's most popular anti-virus products. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal turned in the best performance for malicious code detection and took overall victory in the competition.
